Located in south central Minnesota in Redwood County. LSIC is a federally recognized sovereign Indian tribe, with 1,743 acres of tribal land, and members are part of the Mdewakanton Band of Dakota. The community is grounded and guided by Dakota culture, traditions, and language – where every person contributes to a diversified social and economic life.

The program will make use of elder fluent Dakota speakers, and staff are receiving training in the language.
