Grant Amount: $10,000
Based in Minnetonka, serves the western suburbs of the Twin Cities area. Established in 1969, Relate is a nonprofit, community-based mental health center serving children, adolescents, and adults. Their services are often provided at a free or reduced rate, which ensures they are accessible to low-income individuals and families.
Grant supports expansion of services Relate provides to Dakota County Head Start staff. Relate currently provides 18 hours per month of mental health observation, intervention, and guidance for dysregulated children. They are expanding that to 28 hours each month to help build skills around behavior and to increase developmentally appropriate practices. With this expansion, they anticipate serving 230 children ages 4 and younger.
