Grant Amount: $7,500

Based in St. Paul, serves Twin Cities metro. With 13 metro locations serving kids ages 5-18, BGCTC works in under-resourced communities in the Twin Cities to provide kids and teens with out-of-school time academic, career-focused, and life skills programming. They provide a K-5 literacy program that takes a holistic approach incorporating positive youth development and social-emotional methods with literacy instruction.

Grant supports BGCTC’s literacy programming for the Little Earth community in Minneapolis. This program offers a high-impact small group model with a maximum staff-youth ratio of 1:20, daily check-in circle time using Zones of Regulation exercises, and a sensory room available to all students. All kindergarten through grade 5 children attending the Little Earth Club will participate in hands-on, multi-sensory literacy enrichment activities.
