Located in Minneapolis, serves metro area. Founded in 1905, GMCC is an interfaith and intercultural organization that provides programs and services, including advocacy and education around equity and poverty, volunteerism and service learning, mentoring and youth development, and food security.
Grant supports GMCC’s LakeStreet Youth Labs Summer Camp, a STEAM-focused academic and recreational program for underserved children ages 6-12 in the Phillips neighborhood of south Minneapolis. It is a 5-week, full-day (9 am to 5 pm) summer program that supports school readiness, well-being, and academic enrichment to curb summer learning loss and decrease educational disparities. Daily breakfast and lunch are served.
